Lands End
Lands End offers wonderful views, magnificent sunsets and wonderful walks along the cliff tops. Whilst you’re there, don’t forget to take your picture next to the famous Lands End sign. If you fancy a shop, why not stroll through the West Country Shopping Village, where you can buy gifts, souvenirs, clothing and tasty Cornish Treats. If you’re an avid bird watcher, don’t forget to bring your binoculars as there are plenty of birds to see.
Eden Project
The Eden Project is very popular with all our guests. Inside the two biomes are plants that are collected from many diverse climates and environments. Though don’t be fooled into thinking that the Eden Project is only about plants, they feature performances from artists such as The Chemical Brothers and Kylie Minogue, a variety of Exhibitions and the new SkyWire (England’s longest zip wire).
Godrevy Beach – See the Seals
A lesser-known sight in West Cornwall – and something that always makes for a worthwhile trip – is the resident seal colony at Godrevy. You have to plan your visit for when it is low tide as at high tide the beach disappears, and the seals take to the sea to catch their dinner. Park in the National Trust Car Park at Godrevy and head for Mutton Cove to see this wonderful sight.
Lost Gardens of Heligan
Twenty five years ago, Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen; lost under a tangle of weeds. It was only the chance discovery of a door in the ruins that led to the restoration of this once great estate. Today, the Lost Gardens of Heligan have been put back where they belong, in pride of place among the finest gardens in Cornwall.
Padstow – Ferry to Rock
Padstow is lovely, spend the day by the harbour sitting in one of the many cafes, pubs or bars, cycle the Camel Trail or catch the ferry over to Rock. Rock and Padstow both have plenty of options for lunch or dinner, with many celebrity chefs now having pubs and restaurants here.
